LaMar Farms
is a small diversified family farm located in North Central Iowa.
We've been raising sound, functional Simmentals since 1989. Our
focus is the production of low birth weight, high performing
cattle in a Black Baldie package. These cattle must perform in
all phases of the beef industry in a highly profitable manner for
their owners. We agree that the showring is an excellent place
for honest competition and a show case for phenotypic diversity,
but we believe the true measure of quality is how our cattle perform in
the real world.
For many years LaMar Farms has tested bulls in Iowa Cattleman
Association sponsored bull tests. It's the best place we know to
compare our cattle with the best of other Simmentals as well as
other breeds. In 1999 and again in 2006 LaMar Farms consigned the
top gaining bull of all breeds. At LaMar Farms we don't just talk
the talk. We also walk the walk.
